Mpatamanga Hydro Power Limited (MHPL) is a company based in Blantyre, Malawi and established in 2022.

At MHPL, our mission is to contribute to the development of the energy sector in Malawi through clean and reliable electricity generation. We are now developing and financing the Mpatamanga Hydropower Storage Project (MHSP) and tomorrow we will build and operate it during 30 years.

MHPL has been established by EDF International and SN Malawi BV (owned by TotalEnergies, BII and Norfund), in partnership with the Government of Malawi and International Finance Corporation.
