The Mpatamanga Hydropower Storage Project (MHSP) has developed two versions of an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and Environmental & Social Management and Monitoring Plan (ESMMP). One version of these documents has been prepared in alignment with the requirements of the Malawi Environment Protection Authority (MEPA). The other version has been prepared to meet the requirements of international Lenders. These documents are available on this page and on the Ministry of Energy website.
