NOTICE: MPATAMANGA FORUM ON OCTOBER 14th 2026 – LOCAL CONTRACTOR & SUPPLIER REGISTRATION

Knowing more about the Project and the upcoming construction phase.

Mpatamanga Hydro Power Limited (MHPL) has launched an international Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) tender for the Mpatamanga Hydropower Storage Project (MHSP), one of Malawi’s major infrastructure developments.

MHPL is planning a Forum on October 14th, 2026, in Blantyre, Malawi. The Forum is intended to provide an opportunity for Malawian contractors, suppliers and service providers to better understand the Mpatamanga Project and the stakeholders of the construction phase scheduled for end 2027.

Who Should Register?

1. CIRA Unlimited Category Contractors – Building and/or Civil Works

Companies registered with the CIRA Unlimited Contractor Category for Building and/or Civil Works are encouraged to register their interest.

Please note: Due to limited venue capacity, registration does not constitute an invitation or guarantee attendance at the Forum. MHPL will review registrations and, having regard to the requirements of the Forum and available capacity, select and directly invite companies to attend.

2. Companies in Other Relevant Sectors

Companies operating in the sectors listed in the registration form are also encouraged to register their interest. These may include, among others:

  • Cement and other construction materials
  • Steel and related products
  • Machinery and equipment hire
  • Fuel and petroleum products
  • PPE
  • Vehicle dealers 
  • Clearing and forwarding
  • Commercial banking

Please Note:

The Mpatamanga Forum will have limited capacity, and MHPL therefore cannot accommodate all companies that register.

Registration is an expression of interest only and does not create any right or entitlement to attend the Mpatamanga Forum or participate in any procurement process. MHPL reserves the sole discretion to determine which companies, and the number of companies in each category, will be invited to the Forum, taking into account available capacity, relevance to the Project, sector representation and other considerations it considers appropriate.

Only companies formally invited by MHPL will be permitted to attend the Mpatamanga Forum. Registration alone should not be construed as confirmation of attendance.
